Job summary

First Mid Bancshares seeks a Commercial Loan Documentation Specialist to analyze complex loan documentation, ensuring accurate and timely delivery while minimizing risk. You will review regulatory compliance, draft appropriate documents, and coordinate with loan officers, processors and credit administration to resolve discrepancies.

You will mentor junior staff, handle high-detail loan package work, and participate in process improvements within the loan operations team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; Associates preferred.
• 3+ years banking, clerical or loan processing experience.
• Extensive knowledge of internal policies, applicable laws and regulations governing loan processing.

Responsibilities

• Identify and report non-compliance to procedures, policies and regulations in loan files.
• Develop understanding of regulatory exceptions and policy updates.
• Review business entity documents and verify borrowing authority and signers.
• Analyze loan write-ups and apply terms to document production.
• Communicate loan processing status with officers, processors and administration.
