First Mid Bancshares, Inc. in Champaign, IL is seeking a Commercial Loan Documentation Specialist to analyze and deliver loan documentation for complex commercial and CRE loans.

You will minimize risk factors and ensure timely processing while collaborating with loan officers and support teams. The role requires strong knowledge of loan documents, regulatory compliance, and the ability to train others on complex structures, including SBA and cross-collateralized deals.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; an Associate degree is preferred.
• 3+ years of banking, clerical or loan processing experience.
• Deep knowledge of internal policies, state and federal regulations governing loan documentation.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and document complex commercial and CRE loans with accuracy and timeliness.
• Identify and report non-compliance, clear deficiencies with processors and loan officers.
• Draft and review loan documents, verify authorizations, signers, and resolutions.
• Communicate loan status with stakeholders and coordinate with teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Provide training on complex loan structures including SBA loans and cross-collateralized arrangements.
