Job summary

Westfield Bank in Massachusetts is seeking a Senior Commercial Loan Specialist to perform pre- and post-closing reviews of commercial loan documentation, ensuring compliance with approvals and closing conditions, and coordinating with lenders, attorneys, and loan assistants to streamline closings.

You will monitor quality control, review credit approvals, manage UCC renewals and filings, and support audit requests, CRA/HMDA data, and SBA reporting, upholding bank policies and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work-related experience required.
• 3–5 years of similar or related experience.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform Pre‑ and Post‑closing Reviews on commercial loan documentation to ensure alignment with approvals and closing conditions prior to funding.
• Coordinate with Attorneys, Commercial Lenders and Loan Assistants to ensure an efficient closing process.
• Review credit approvals for accuracy.
• Perform post‑closing review for loan modifications and ensure documentation complies with approvals.
• Monitor document exception reports and follow up to obtain missing documents promptly.
• Review Flood policies for properties in flood zones to ensure regulatory and policy compliance.
• Review Hazard Insurance binders to ensure Bank is properly listed as mortgagee and coverage is adequate.
• Reconcile Miner Invoice for Force Placement Insurance and coordinate with staff to obtain active policies.
• Perform post‑closing review to ensure proper perfection of collateral on loans.
