Job summary

Verrus, LLC is seeking an attorney with at least 3 years of commercial litigation experience to join our national practice. The firm operates across multiple U.S. locations with a hybrid work setting and generous compensation programs including bonuses tied to performance.

The candidate will handle investigations, pleadings, depositions, and motions, while managing a diverse caseload in state and federal courts. Strong client communication and academic credentials are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of commercial litigation experience across a broad spectrum.
• Strong experience in investigations, discovery, pleadings, depositions, and motions.
• Excellent academic credentials and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Proactive, entrepreneurial, and able to build client relationships.
• Portable book of business ideal but not required.

Responsibilities

• Experience with all phases of commercial litigation.
• Conduct factual investigations and discovery.
• Prepare pleadings, take depositions, argue motions, participate in mediation, and communicate with clients.
• Manage a caseload of commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts.
• Experience in administrative matters and arbitrations is beneficial.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on complex commercial issues.
• Must have taken at least 5 depositions with leadership on them.
