Job summary

Southern California Edison (SCE) is seeking a Commercial Litigation Senior Attorney to lead a broad range of in-house litigation matters, reporting to a Director/Managing Attorney. The role includes representing SCE in state and federal court and arbitration, directing outside counsel, and advising senior management on regulatory and strategic initiatives.

Hybrid work arrangement in California with travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Eight or more years of experience practicing law; can be at a law firm, corporate in-house setting, or government authority.
• Current member in good standing of the State Bar of California or willingness and ability to become accredited.

Responsibilities

• Conducts complex legal analysis to craft strategies and interpretations and ensure legal compliance.
• Leads development and implementation of legal strategies and SCE's position on changes in laws and regulations.
• Represents the company at significant public, business and legal gatherings, interacting with government officials and clients as required.
• Directs and manages outside counsel and provides guidance on regulation development, business processes, safety, ethics and compliance.
