Job summary

Southern California Edison seeks a Securities, Finance and Corporate Governance Senior Attorney to advise internal business teams on financing, securities, governance and transactional matters. You will support capital markets, bank financing and securitizations, coordinating with outside counsel, regulators and stakeholders.

The role demands independent work, strong judgment and the ability to manage multiple assignments under pressure.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Eight+ years of legal experience in law firm, in-house, or government.
• Current California Bar in good standing or able to become accredited.
• Strong written and oral communication abilities.
• Experience with securities laws, capital markets, and governance.
• Ability to advise senior management and diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on financing, securities, governance and transactional matters.
• Support capital markets, bank financing, and securitization transactions.
• Coordinate with regulators, outside counsel, financial advisors, trustees and business stakeholders.
• Develop and implement legal strategies in response to laws and regulations.
• Lead regulatory filings, testimonies, and reports before agencies.
• Ensure protection of company data and confidentiality in all matters.
