Trueline Talent's client, a growing Texas law firm, seeks a Senior Commercial Litigation Associate to join the San Antonio team. This onsite role offers substantial autonomy, strong compensation, and no traditional billable-hours requirement.

You will independently manage complex commercial and civil matters, draft motions, appear before Texas judges, negotiate resolutions, and mentor staff as the practice scales toward leadership. Base salary $150k-$200k with a $20k-$40k annual bonus.

Qualifications

• Approximately 4+ years of civil or commercial litigation experience.
• Strong legal writing, research, and motion practice.
• Experience independently managing litigation matters.
• Confidence appearing before judges and handling court proceedings.
• Strong negotiation skills with limited supervision.
• Ability to manage multiple active matters.
• Collaborative, team-oriented approach.
• Succeed in a fast-moving, high-volume legal environment.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage complex commercial and civil litigation matters.
• Draft and respond to motions, pleadings, briefs, and other substantive filings.
• Research complex and novel legal issues and develop persuasive litigation strategies.
• Appear before judges in bench hearings and other court proceedings across Texas.
• Negotiate resolutions involving commercial judgments and assets.
• Analyze financial and asset-related issues to determine strategies.
• Collaborate with paralegals, finance, operations, and other internal teams.
• Mentor support staff and grow into leadership roles.
