Job summary

Trueline Talent is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney in San Antonio, TX to join a Texas-based firm handling insurers and businesses in significant civil matters. You will own an active docket, manage strategy, discovery, depositions, and client relationships both with carriers and insureds.

The role requires 3–7 years of substantive civil litigation experience, strong discovery/deposition skills, and the ability to work in-office. A competitive base salary and bonus opportunities await.

Qualifications

• Active Texas Bar license in good standing.
• 3–7 years of substantive civil litigation experience.
• Insurance defense, personal injury, commercial transportation, or related litigation experience.
• Ability to independently manage an active caseload.
• Strong discovery and deposition experience.
• Strong motion practice and legal writing.
• Experience handling hearings and contested proceedings.
• Strong client, carrier, and insured communication.
• Excellent organization and deadline management.
• Willingness to work in-office and attend proceedings as required.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage an active civil litigation docket across Texas.
• Handle insurance defense, personal injury, and related litigation.
• Develop case strategy, assess liability, damages, and settlement options.
• Draft and respond to discovery, motions, briefs, and pleadings.
• Prepare witnesses for depositions; take and defend depositions.
• Appear at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and related proceedings.
• Coordinate with experts; move cases toward resolution with support staff.
