Offit Kurman is seeking a Litigation Associate/Counsel in the Los Angeles area (Remote or Hybrid) with 4–8 years of litigation experience to support our California-based practices. The role emphasizes delivering exceptional legal work in a collaborative environment without the need to develop a personal book of business.

The position involves supporting multiple practice groups, managing matters through all stages of litigation, drafting motions, and collaborating across offices.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the California Bar.
• 4–8 years of litigation experience in a law firm setting.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Experience managing litigation matters with increasing independence.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Willingness to travel for court appearances as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide litigation support to attorneys across the firm's CRRAB, Litigation, Real Estate, and IP practice groups.
• Manage matters through all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, court appearances, and trial preparation.
• Draft and argue motions, prepare legal research and memoranda, and assist with case strategy.
• Collaborate with attorneys across multiple offices to provide high-quality client service.
• Travel within California as needed for hearings, depositions, mediations, and court appearances.
