Arbour Specialty is seeking a Commercial Lines Underwriter to join our underwriting team for the South Carolina market. Fully remote option; SC.

You'll evaluate and price risks, build agency partnerships, and contribute to profitable growth in a fast-paced environment.

This role balances analytical decision-making with relationship-building and offers opportunities to develop expertise in excess & surplus lines.

15+ years of underwriting experience.
Property & Casualty license required.
Knowledge of Excess & Surplus Lines products.
Experience developing and implementing marketing or business-development strategies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Reviewing and underwriting new business submissions, renewals, endorsements, and policy changes
Evaluating risks and making sound underwriting decisions within your authority
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with independent agency partners
Communicating coverage decisions, modifications, and underwriting requirements to agents
Conducting agency visits to strengthen relationships and support profitable growth
Maintaining accurate underwriting documentation and system records
Collaborating with team members to achieve business goals and deliver excellent service
