Qualifications

• 15+ years of underwriting experience.
• Property & Casualty license required.
• Knowledge of Excess & Surplus Lines insurance products and markets.
• Experience developing and implementing marketing or business-development strategies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and underwriting new business submissions, renewals, endorsements, and policy changes.
• Evaluating risks and making sound underwriting decisions within your authority.
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with independent agency partners.
• Communicating coverage decisions, modifications, and underwriting requirements to agents.
• Conducting agency visits to strengthen relationships and support profitable growth.
• Maintaining accurate underwriting documentation and system records.
• Collaborating with team members to achieve business goals and deliver excellent service.
