Job summary

Arbour Specialty is seeking a Commercial Lines Underwriter to join our remote underwriting team serving the Alabama market. You will evaluate risks, price submissions, and build strong agency partnerships to drive profitable growth.

In this role, you will manage new and renewal business, communicate coverage decisions to agents, and help maintain accurate records while balancing analytical decisions with relationship-building in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of underwriting experience.
• Property & Casualty license required.
• Knowledge of Excess & Surplus Lines products and markets.
• Experience developing and implementing marketing or business-development strategies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to work independently while contributing as a collaborative team member.
