Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; relevant work experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis.
• Four or more years of commercial property and casualty underwriting experience.
• Advanced knowledge of P&C insurance forms and rating rules.
• Advanced working knowledge of underwriting and loss control principles.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the acquisition and retention of profitable commercial lines customers.
• Work with assigned agents to meet profitability and production goals, following company guidelines.
• Price, underwrite, and manage the underwriting of an assigned territory of business.
• Develop and maintain strong agency relationships across states such as VA, MD, PA, NC and SC.
