Job summary

Champion Risk & Insurance Services in San Diego seeks a Senior Commercial Lines Account Manager to manage a large, complex commercial lines book and support Producers in retention, renewals, and growth. You will review coverage needs, coordinate with carriers, and deliver client-focused service with accuracy and speed.

The role requires strong commercial insurance expertise, excellent organization, and the ability to manage a substantial book of business while aligning with Champion procedures

Qualifications

• 8+ years of commercial lines insurance experience.
• Demonstrated experience independently managing a substantial commercial book of business (>$600k).
• Current Property & Casualty license and CE requirements.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of coverages, carrier markets, and servicing practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage a large, complex commercial lines book with significant commission income.
• Provide client-focused service and respond to coverage needs and account changes.
• Lead marketing for new and renewal business with submissions and carrier negotiations.
• Develop renewal strategies with Producers and prepare professional proposals.
• Maintain compliance and documentation throughout marketing, renewal, and binding.
• Support Producers with new business opportunities and cross-selling.
• Use Applied Epic, Indio, and other insurance tech to manage data and workflows.
• Mentor junior team members and provide backup coverage as needed.
