Job Title: Senior Commercial Account Manager

Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 (depending on skill, knowledge, qualifications, and experience)

Location: Houston, TX

We are an independent insurance agency seeking a Senior Commercial Lines Account Manager to service and manage a book of commercial lines accounts. The role involves responding to client inquiries about policies and coverage, consulting on policy changes, and risk management concerns. The candidate will provide professional, timely client service, working closely with insurance producers and carrier underwriters.

Responsibilities:

1. Possess working knowledge of Property and Casualty accounts, including Oil, Gas, Refinery operations, Manufacturing, and Distributors.
2. Research and answer client questions regarding policies and coverage.
3. Market and quote new business and renewals, obtaining competitive coverage and cost ratios.
4. Work with multiple carrier underwriters and online rating portals.
5. Manage information related to account renewals.

Qualifications:

1. 7-10 years of experience in servicing commercial insurance accounts.
2. Property and Casualty license.
3. Desirable: CIC, CPCU, or other insurance designations.
4. Experience with Applied TAM, EPIC, or AMS360 software.
5. Knowledge of the insurance and brokerage business.
6. Technical knowledge relevant to the industry or product area.
7. Ability to advise management on risk management issues.
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
9. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
