Job summary

Crescent Search, Inc. in Louisiana seeks an experienced Loan Officer to interview applicants, analyze financial data, and determine credit worthiness for commercial and private banking loans. The role focuses on building customer relationships, negotiating terms, and presenting to the Loan Review Committee.

You will monitor repayments, advise on financial matters, ensure compliance with BSA/AML, and develop new business while maintaining confidentiality and professional standards.

Qualifications

• College degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related area with five years lending experience including management training.
• Five years of experience at operating a personal computer including Microsoft Word and Excel software.
• Requires successful registration with, and issuance of a unique identification number from, the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) in compliance with the SAFE Act.

Responsibilities

• Establishes, and negotiates where necessary, terms under which credit will be extended, including the costs, repayment method, and schedule and collateral requirements.
• Approves loans with a legal loan limit according to Bank policy. In general, handles the more complex and substantial department loans.
• Collects and analyzes information reflecting current credit worthiness of customers and current merits of existing loans.
• Monitors loan repayment activities and takes necessary action to collect from past-due accounts.
• Advises customers concerning business management and financial matters.
• Develops new business by contacting prospects and customers, cross-sells bank services.
• Develops material for loan presentations to the Loan Review Committee.
• Adherence to and support of all compliance and BSA/AML rules and regulations related to this job function.
• Promotes the bank in the community.
• Participates in community affairs to increase the Bank's visibility and to enhance new business opportunities.
• Maintains awareness of economic conditions and planned developments within service area that could affect profitability.
• Undertakes special projects relating to departmental services as assigned by the senior officer.
