Job summary

NBC Universal Orlando is seeking an experienced technician to maintain, service, repair and operate all commercial kitchen, laundry and refrigeration systems across Universal Orlando venues. You will diagnose and fix coolers, freezers, ovens, dish machines and related equipment to manufacturers’ specifications.

The role requires 5+ years in commercial appliance repair, EPA refrigerant certification, and a valid Florida driver’s license.

Qualifications

5+ years of commercial appliance repair and refrigeration experience required; 7+ years preferred.
EPA Refrigerant Transition and Recovery certification required.
Valid Florida Driver's License required to operate a company vehicle.
High school diploma or GED required; AA/technical degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair refrigeration equipment including coolers, freezers, rack systems, ice machines, and keg coolers.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair gas and electric kitchen equipment including ovens, fryers, steamers, dish machines, and microwaves.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair kitchen and bakery equipment including mixers, ovens, dough equipment.
Provide mechanical guidance to Tech II/III technicians and apprentices to improve skills.
Preventative maintenance and rehab of kitchen equipment to manufacturers' specifications.
Provide documentation for ordering parts as needed.
Adhere to Environmental, Health & Safety policies and responsibilities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
