Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a Senior Account Associate - Commercial Lines to provide administrative and customer service support to the account team, under guidance of an Account Manager/AE. This remote/hybrid role involves handling policy renewals, endorsements, and submissions, with emphasis on accuracy and client service.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in insurance customer service, licensing, and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of customer service experience in the insurance industry.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs
• Required active licensing, professional designation (CISR) preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Direct day-to-day activities of Team Support/Receptionist, Account Assistant, and/or Account Associate.
• Policy Management: Track policy expirations and ensure renewals are processed on time.
• Task Processing: Handle endorsements, audits, cancellations, reinstatements, and related items.
• New and Renewal Business Support: Gather underwriting information, prepare submissions, assist with pricing and proposals.
• Contract Review: Review contracts to ensure proper coverages.
• Accounts Receivable: Monitor delinquent accounts and collect balances.
• System Maintenance: Maintain agency management and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Activity Monitoring: Manage activity/suspense to ensure timely completion.
• Communication: Maintain frequent communication with the account team.
• Service Excellence: Deliver excellent service and anticipate client needs.
• Policy Compliance: Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Continuous Improvement: Seek best practices to improve performance.
• Champion IOA Values: Demonstrate integrity and leadership.
