Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking an experienced HVAC field service technician for on-site work at customer locations. You will commission, troubleshoot, repair, and start up commercial HVAC systems, applying knowledge of air conditioning theory, pipe fitting, and mechanical layouts.

The role emphasizes safety, collaboration, and timely service delivery. Requires 10+ years in Commercial HVAC, MS Office and handheld device proficiency, a valid driver’s license, and EPA certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (or completion from accredited tech school).
• Typically 10+ years of Commercial HVAC experience.
• EPA Certification preferred (e.g. HVAC Journeyman).
• Valid driver’s license for at least 12 months; clean record.
• Microsoft Office proficiency; handheld device literacy.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end testing, programming download, startup, commissioning, and servicing on projects.
• Serve as direct customer contact; diagnose and repair equipment at customer sites.
• Coordinate with team leader and customer to define on-site install/repair needs.
• Use software/tools and blueprints to diagnose and repair units.
• Uphold safety standards and mentor team members.
