Job summary

Carrier is seeking a Commercial HVAC Apprentice Service Technician for field-based work in Louisiana. You will perform hands-on HVAC service, installation and calibration, with emphasis on safety, customer service, and reliability.

Requirements include 1+ year HVAC experience, EPA certification, a valid driver’s license, and physical ability to handle lifting; Salesforce/ServiceMax experience is a plus. Company vehicle and tools provided.

Qualifications

1+ years Commercial HVAC experience.
Ability to Push / Pull / Lift 50lbs.
Stand, crawl, sit, squat for extended periods; climb ladders; work on rooftops.
EPA Universal Certification required.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Possess and maintain valid Driver’s License; insurable by company.”

Responsibilities

Inspect and maintain HVAC systems to ensure efficient operation.
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical malfunctions in heating and cooling units.
Install, replace, and calibrate HVAC equipment and thermostatic controls.
Service rooftop units, gas packs, heat pumps, split systems, and related controls.
Maintain chilled and hot water systems and adjust internal controls.
Assemble and install metal ductwork; assist in system planning and design.
Ensure compliance with City/State/EPA regulations; maintain maintenance records.
Collaborate with management to uphold safety and operational standards.
