Job summary

Anderson Mechanical Services in Sterling, VA, part of VMG, is seeking a Senior Commercial Service Technician to diagnose, service, and maintain complex commercial HVAC systems, guiding others in the field and delivering high‑quality customer care.

You’ll troubleshoot DOAS, chillers, cooling towers, and pumps, read wiring schematics, and perform preventive maintenance. A Journeyman HVAC license and 5+ years’ experience are required; four‑day workweek, training, and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Journeyman HVAC license required.
• 5+ years of commercial HVAC service experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across commercial HVAC systems.
• Experience servicing DOAS units, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and water-side systems.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC equipment.
• Service DOAS units, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and water-side systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and manuals.
• Work independently to resolve complex service issues in the field.
• Complete work orders and service reports accurately and on time.
• Mentor and support technicians in field workmanship.
