Job summary

Woodward, Inc. is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician for our Rock Cut Campus in Loves Park, IL. The role involves leading jobs, delivering high-quality work, and hands-on collaboration with facilities teams.

Responsibilities span installation, maintenance, and diagnostics of commercial HVAC systems, rooftop units, and boilers, with opportunities to mentor junior technicians and optimize service processes. EPA 608 certification is required, and a strong safety record is essential.

Qualifications

EPA Section 608 Certification required.
Proficiency in diagnosing and repair of commercial HVAC units.
Experience with preventative maintenance of large HVAC systems (e.g., 800-ton chillers, boilers).
Knowledge of Trane monitoring systems and reading technical drawings.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems following established procedures and specs.
Perform regular maintenance on rooftop units, air handlers, chillers, boilers, and VAV systems.
Diagnose HVAC issues and apply established methods to identify and resolve problems.
Collaborate with team to meet project objectives and ensure quality service.
Document maintenance activities, service reports, and compliance records.
