Job summary

Anderson Mechanical Services, a VMG Company, seeks a Senior Commercial Service Technician to diagnose, service, repair, and maintain complex commercial HVAC systems. You will work with DOAS units, chillers, cooling towers, and pumps, while mentoring junior technicians and delivering exceptional customer service.

The role emphasizes independent problem-solving, strong diagnostic skills, and a commitment to safety and quality in a dynamic service environment.

Qualifications

• Journeyman HVAC License is required.
• 5+ years of commercial HVAC service experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across commercial HVAC systems.
• Experience servicing DOAS, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and water-side HVAC systems.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Ability to work independently and make effective troubleshooting decisions in the field.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems.
• Service equipment including DOAS units, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and water-side systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance to improve reliability, performance and efficiency.
• Identify system issues and determine repair or replacement solutions.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and manuals.
• Lead and mentor less experienced technicians; contribute to a safety-focused, team-oriented culture.
