Job summary

Total Comfort Solutions in Columbia, SC seeks an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician with 8+ years to lead our service team and deliver exceptional customer service. You will troubleshoot and repair advanced HVAC systems while guiding junior technicians and maintaining professional client relations.

Applicants should have a technical degree or equivalent, strong organizational and communication skills, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Two-Year Technical Degree or 4 – year apprenticeship from accredited HVAC institution with 1 to 2 years of experience, HVAC Certificate from accredited HVAC institution with 10 plus years of experience, or equivalent work experience.
• Organization and time management skills.
• Problem solving skills.
• Extensive knowledge in safe work habits.
• Experience with managing agreements and quoted jobs to the margins and standards at which they were sold.
• Good communication skills.
• Will have available tools necessary to accomplish the work of a Level 5.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Proficient in and an advocate for soft skills.
• Team player and leader.
• Ability to mentor Level 1-4
• Ability to pass fit-for-duty evaluations as required for contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot/repair HVAC equipment in a timely and quality manner.
• Possess a technical knowledge and experience level to troubleshoot, repair and maintain most advanced HVAC mechanical systems in a timely manner.
• Use proper tools and instruments for trouble shooting.
• Demonstrate capability of handling a heavy workload of calls.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism by arriving to work on time, maintaining a neat physical appearance and work vehicle in clean working order.
• Keep technical knowledge and ability up to date regarding commercial and industrial HVAC equipment.
• Present a professional, positive and helpful attitude at all times when interacting with customers and co-workers.
• Organize all work detail and complete an accurate work ticket for billing & payroll purposes.
• Submit accurate and complete Start-up Sheets in a timely manner.
• Submit accurate and complete Refrigerant Tracking Logs in a timely manner.
• Promote new business by reporting leads.
• Build rapport and positive working relationships with clients, vendors, and other outside contacts.
• Demonstrate the Total Comfort Solutions values on a daily basis.
