Job summary

FirstCall Mechanical is seeking a seasoned Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our Raleigh, NC team. You will diagnose, service, and repair heating and cooling systems, perform maintenance on multiple units, and deliver elite customer service with a can‑do attitude.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in commercial HVAC, active EPA certification, valid driver's license, and flexibility for on‑call shifts. OSHA 10 and manufacturer certifications are pluses.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in a commercial HVAC setting.
• Active EPA Certification.
• OSHA 10 Certification.
• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
• Willing to work flexible hours and on-call shifts.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Manufacturer Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose causes of problems and/or failures in heating/air conditioning systems, refrigeration systems, and food service equipment to identify repair or replacement needs with no mistakes/callbacks
• Perform maintenance and service repairs, install new units, or replace parts of existing units according to specifications of 15 tons+
• Maintain larger PM contracts with more than 5 units
• Repair or replace defective parts in units and equipment and their controls
• Service and troubleshoot mini‑splits and/or replace smaller RTU’s and mini‑splits for 15 tons or less
• Communicate with Dispatch to ensure completion of scheduled jobs
• Maintain preventative maintenance schedules and procedures for customers
• Provide elite customer service to every customer encountered

Skills

Valid Driver’s License

Active EPA Certification

5+ years’ experience in a commercialHV
