Job summary

Perfection Group is seeking a skilled senior level Commercial HVAC Service Technician to support its Nashville, TN service division. The role requires extensive HVAC experience, EPA certification, and an accredited HVAC program, with expectations for on-site travel and on-call coverage.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex HVAC systems, including chillers and HVAC hydronics, while collaborating with a team and upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• HVAC troubleshooting and repair experience.
• EPA universal certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• HVAC certification from an accredited program.
• 5–10 years of commercial/industrial HVAC service experience.
• Chiller, controls and hydronics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair and PM HVAC systems including chillers, boilers, RTUs, split systems and heat pumps.
• Diagnose issues, procure parts, calibrate per manufacturer specs, and explain needs to customer.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to ensure continuous operation.
• Travel to job sites, coordinate with dispatch, and manage schedule communications.
• Enter resolutions in company software and support on-call coverage as needed.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and vehicle/workspace standards.

HVAC Service Technicians Will:

• Troubleshoot, repair and PM heating, air conditioning and refrigeration units, including but not limited to chillers, boilers, roof top units, split systems, and heat pumps.


• Diagnose diverse service issues, obtain any replacement parts, calibrate system to manufacturer's recommendations and explain fully to customer what the issue is and what is needed to correct.


• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance as needed for the purpose of ensuring the ongoing functioning of HVAC systems.


• Travel to job sites in service area and work with dispatch to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to customer and dispatch.


• Enter call resolutions using company software and applications.


• Be available to work nights and weekends on a rotating basis to service the emergency needs of our customers.


• Create and maintain cordial and collaborative working relationships with both superiors and co-workers.


• Participate in company and/or vendor provided training opportunities.


• Comply with all applicable standards, policies, or procedures, such as safety procedures or the maintenance of a clean work area and company vehicle.

What You Will Bring To This Role:

• Universal EPA Certification required


• High School Diploma or equivalent


• HVAC Certification from an accredited program


• 5-10 years of Commercial/Industrial HVAC service experience


• Chiller, controls and HVAC hydronics experience preferred
