Job summary

Perfection Group is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician in Nashville, TN. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain a range of commercial and industrial HVAC systems, including chillers and boilers, while communicating clearly with customers.

A valid driver's license, an accredited HVAC program, and EPA Section 608 certification are required. Join a team that supports ongoing training, provides a company vehicle and tools, and offers paid drive time.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of commercial/industrial HVAC service experience.
• EPA Section 608 certification required.
• Completed accredited HVAC technical or trade-school program.
• High school diploma or equivalent and valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC & refrigeration equipment (chillers, boilers, rooftop units, split systems, heat pumps).
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and controls issues.
• Identify repairs, procure parts, calibrate equipment per manufacturer specs.
• Explain conditions and recommended solutions clearly to customers.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to boost reliability and efficiency.
• Travel to customer sites across Nashville and Middle Tennessee.
• Document service calls and resolutions using company software.
• Participate in rotating on-call schedule, including nights/weekends.

Perfection Group is hiring a highly skilled Commercial HVAC Service Technician to support our growing Nashville team and customers throughout Middle Tennessee.

We’re looking for an experienced technician who can independently diagnose complex equipment issues, communicate confidently with customers, and deliver safe, high-quality solutions. You’ll work on a wide range of commercial and industrial HVAC systems while helping support the continued growth and development of the team.

• Paid drive time, a company vehicle, major tools, and continued technical training are provided.

What You’ll Do

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment, including chillers, boilers, rooftop units, split systems, and heat pumps
• Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and controls-related issues
• Identify necessary repairs, obtain replacement parts, and calibrate equipment according to manufacturer recommendations
• Explain equipment conditions, repair needs, and recommended solutions clearly to customers
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to improve equipment reliability and efficiency
• Travel to customer locations throughout Nashville and the Middle Tennessee service area
• Coordinate with dispatch and communicate scheduling changes or delays promptlyli>
• Document service calls and resolutions accurately using company software and applications
• Participate in a rotating emergency on-call schedule, including nights and weekends
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, company vehicle, tools, and assigned equipment
• Participate in company- and vendor-provided training
• Share technical knowledge and provide guidance to less-experienced technicians

You May Be a Great Fit If You

• Have five to seven years of commercial or industrial HVAC service experience
• Possess strong hands-on knowledge of chillers, boilers, rooftop units, split systems, heat pumps, and refrigeration equipment
• Understand commercial HVAC, electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and controls systems
• Diagnose complex problems accurately and develop practical, effective solutions
• Work confidently and independently while remaining connected and accountable to the team
• Communicate clearly, consistently, and professionally with customers, dispatch, leadership, and teammates
• Build trust through technical expertise, sound judgment, and dependable follow-through
• Take ownership of your schedule, documentation, vehicle, tools, and customer commitments
• Take pride in completing safe, accurate, high-quality work
• Remain calm and dependable when responding to urgent customer needs

• Hold a Universal EPA Section 608 certification
