Job summary

ITW Food Equipment Group LLC, a leading provider of commercial food equipment, seeks a Service/Repair Technician 4 to support Hobart Service customers on-site. The role requires advanced mechanical, electrical, and HVACR aptitude with complex troubleshooting and installation experience.

On-call, after-hours, and weekend on-site repair support is expected. A high school diploma or GED with 7+ years of service experience is required; an Associate’s degree or Vocational Certificate is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 7+ years in food equipment service
• Associate’s degree or Vocational Certificate preferred
• EPA Certification and related certifications (CFESA/NATE/Hobart) desirable

Responsibilities

• Primary point of contact for key customer accounts and service issues
• Assist onboarding, training, and development of new technicians
• Routinely plans, leads, and executes complex technical projects including installations and turnkey
• Diagnose and repair software errors, failures, and malfunctions in electronic food equipment
• Install mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, gas, and/or refrigeration equipment and lead advanced installs
• Maintain and repair equipment for customers on contract or time-and-material basis
• Interpret and follow schematic diagrams
• Follow standard operating procedures and safety manuals
• Promote financial objectives by delivering quality customer experience and generating leads
• Support new product introduction and maintain equipment knowledge
• Manage assigned company assets (vehicle, tools, inventory)
