Job summary

Millie and Severson, a premier California general contractor, seeks an experienced Estimator to develop detailed plans, perform quantity takeoffs, and prepare competitive bids. Join a respected ESOP company with a collaborative culture and opportunities to work on high-profile projects in Industrial, Healthcare, Education, and Commercial sectors.

You will review plans, verify site conditions, coordinate bid documents, and compile complete budgets and proposals for submission.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years of estimating experience with a commercial GC.
• Tilt-Up and/or Medical Office Building experience preferred.
• Ability to independently prepare detailed estimate analyses and material quantity takeoffs.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review plans and determine the project scope for each trade.
• Prepare invitations to subcontractors to bid the project.
• Review plans and specs for completeness and conflicts.
• Prepare RFIs to clarify project requirements with consultants.
• Coordinate distribution of bid documents and addenda to subs.
• Prepare the project budget and a comprehensive proposal with inclusions/exclusions.
• Assist Project Management with budgeting and turnover activities.
• Attend interviews as needed.
