Job summary

LeoForce in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Senior Estimator to drive successful hard bid bids for commercial construction projects. This permanent, full-time role will prepare detailed cost estimates, evaluate subcontractor quotes, and collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to meet client requirements.

The ideal candidate has at least 10 years of estimating experience, a degree in construction management or engineering, and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial construction estimating.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
• Proven expertise in hard bid estimating.
• Strong analytical and mathematical abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficient in estimating software applications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects.
• Deliver competitive hard bid estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to understand project requirements and develop cost-effective solutions.
• Review and analyze project plans and specifications to determine total estimated cost.
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure they meet project specifications and budget.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather accurate information for estimates.
• Maintain and update a database of historical cost data for use in future estimates.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior estimating staff.
• Participate in post-bid reviews to learn from successful and unsuccessful bids.
