Job summary

Fifth Third in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Commercial Equipment Finance Rep IV to develop and manage credit relationships with leasing customers. You will initiate new business, interview lessees, and coordinate appraisals, structuring leases that maximize profitability while meeting client needs.

Role requires a Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred) with 7+ years in finance/leasing, strong analytical and communication skills, and ability to work with tax/legal teams to ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
• 7+ years of experience with a finance/leasing company in sourcing, developing, and closing lease transactions.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Independent self-starter and proactive marketer.
• Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with lessors and senior management in region.
• Polished professional sales, marketing, and presentation skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Comprehensive financial analysis and financial selling skills (knowledge of FASB 13, cash flow, balance sheet, and P&L effects of leasing).
• Excellent working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and pricing software.
• HP12C or HP17B calculator expertise.

Responsibilities

• Initiates contacts for developing new sources of business and maintains relationships with sources.
• Interviews prospective lessees to assess credit risk and initiates lease contracts.
• Coordinates appraisal of equipment to determine structure, pricing, tax, and residual risks.
• Prepares market-competitive, internally profitable lease quotes and ensures profitability.
• Structures and tailors lease transactions meeting customer needs from start to close.
• Manages ongoing client relationships and monitors market dynamics and competition.
• Collaborates with tax and legal specialists to ensure lease contracts comply with laws and regulations.
