Job summary

Fifth Third Bank in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Commercial Equipment Finance Representative IV to develop and manage complex lease relationships with major clients. You will initiate new business, assess credit risk, coordinate asset appraisals, and structure tax-efficient lease transactions that meet client needs and firm profitability.

Responsibilities include maintaining key account relationships, negotiating terms, and collaborating with tax and legal teams to ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; 7+ years in finance/leasing sourcing, developing, and closing lease transactions.
• Excellent organizational and proactive marketing skills.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with lessors and senior management.
• Polished sales, marketing, and presentation skills with strong communication.
• Strong financial analysis skills including cash flow, balance sheet, and P&L effects of leasing (FASB 13).
• Experience with pricing, market research, and structuring lease transactions.
• Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software; HP12C/HP17B calculators knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Initiates contacts for developing new sources of business and cultivates relationships.
• Interviews prospective lessees to assess credit risk and discusses lease terms.
• Coordinates equipment appraisal with staff to determine structure, pricing, tax, and residual risk.
• Prepares market-competitive lease quotes and maximizes profitability.
• Structures and designs lease transactions tailored to client needs from start to close.
• Manages ongoing client relationships and monitors market dynamics.
• Works with tax and legal to ensure lease compliance.
• Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.
