Job summary

TRIO Electric is seeking a Foreman to oversee electrical field projects in Houston, guiding crews and coordinating with the general contractor and field leadership. You’ll manage labor, materials, and production on one or more commercial jobs, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

The role requires a Texas Journeyman license, 5+ years in supervisory roles, and proven ability to read blueprints and deliver on-site results with minimal escalation.

Qualifications

• Requires Texas Journeyman Electrician license.
• Minimum 5 years in foreman or supervisory role.
• Experience leading commercial electrical projects.
• Ability to plan a 3-week look-ahead and manage site labor.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Read blueprints and ensure safety and code compliance.

Responsibilities

• Run the job: build and maintain the 3-week look-ahead, plan labor on the site, and solve jobsite issues directly with the GC and Superintendent.
• Inspect work progress, equipment and construction sites to verify safety and ensure that specifications are met.
• Read specifications such as blueprints to determine construction requirements and to plan procedures.
• Estimate and order material and evaluate worker requirements to complete jobs.
• Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of Crew Leaders and electricians; remove crew roadblocks so crews stay productive.
• Record information such as personnel, production, and operational data on specified forms and reports.
• Assign work to employees based on material and worker requirements of specific jobs.
• Maintain a current electrician’s license or identification card to meet governmental regulations.
• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on job specifications and local codes.
• Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and ensure conformances to building and safety codes.
• Develop crew leaders by giving them clear work and room to solve problems; escape issues outside the job’s control, such as major equipment delays or office/customer issues, to the Field Leader/Superintendent.
