Job summary

Vortex Doors, America’s highest quality and customer-centric commercial and industrial door repair company, seeks an Experienced Commercial Door Technician in Hayward, CA. A minimum of 3 years in the door industry is required to join our team.

You will install, repair, and maintain doors, docks, and related hardware, ensuring safety and code compliance while delivering excellent customer service and precise recordkeeping in a fast-paced field environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years’ experience in the commercial door service industry.
• Knowledge of various door types, brands, and hardware.
• Ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
• Proficiency in reading a tape measure and performing precise measurements.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair commercial doors, docks, and related hardware.
• Diagnose door-related issues and perform repairs (springs, hinges, locks, electrical components).
• Install and configure door hardware, locks, closers, and access control systems.
• Maintain records of service visits, repairs, and installations.
• Ensure all work meets safety regulations and quality standards.
