Job summary

Stripe is seeking a Credit Risk Analyst/Commercial Underwriter for the North America Strategy Risk team. You will underwrite and manage a portfolio of Stripe's largest and fastest-growing merchants to balance growth with credit risk, working with Sales, Legal, Treasury, and Finance.

The role follows West Coast hours, with a preference for Pacific Time candidates. You will evaluate business models and financial statements, deliver tailored risk recommendations, and help refine risk tools and

Qualifications

5+ years of relevant experience with knowledge of commercial credit underwriting, financial risk modeling, and cash flow forecasting.
Strong written, verbal, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Evaluate merchants' business models and financial statements to assess credit risk.
Provide tailored credit risk recommendations to mitigate Stripe exposure while enabling growth.
Develop deep understanding of risk across industries, geographies, and operating models.
Deliver insights to support senior management decisions on onboarding strategies and pricing.
Support refinement of tools and processes to improve KPI targets like loss and coverage.
Collaborate with Sales, Legal, Treasury, and Finance to support merchants globally.
