Stripe is seeking a Credit Risk Analyst Commercial Underwriter on the North America Strategy Risk team to underwrite and manage a portfolio of our largest and fastest-growing businesses, enabling growth while minimizing credit risk.

You will collaborate with Sales, Legal, Treasury, and Finance; this role follows West Coast hours and prioritizes candidates in the Pacific time zone, with remote or hybrid options.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial credit underwriting and risk modeling.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and ability to analyze financial statements across industries.
• Ability to transform data into narratives outlining credit risks and mitigations.
• Strong written, verbal, and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfort interacting with CFOs/CEOs of top merchants.
• Desirable: SQL experience, data visualization skills, experience in tech/high-growth environments.

Responsabilités

• Underwrite and manage a portfolio of Stripe's largest, fastest-growing businesses.
• Provide tailored credit risk recommendations to mitigate exposure while enabling growth.
• Develop deep understanding of risk across industries, geographies, and operating models.
• Deliver insights to support senior management decisions (on onboarding and pricing).
• Support tooling/process improvements to meet KPIs like credit loss targets and portfolio coverage.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to support merchants globally.
