Job summary

Allegacy Financial is seeking a senior credit professional to counsel our commercial lenders on cash flow, risk analysis, loan structure, and resource referrals. You will identify problem loans and direct them to the VP, Commercial Credit Officer in a timely fashion, while supporting underwriting and risk assessment across Commercial/Industrial and CRE loan types.

You will mentor staff on loan structure and eligibility, assist in initial underwriting, and conduct industry research as needed.

• Must be able to analyze financial statements, spreads, and projections.

Responsibilities

• Counsel commercial lenders on cash flow, risk analysis, loan structure, and resource referrals.
• Identify problem loans and direct them to the VP, Commercial Credit Officer in a timely fashion.
• Support lending staff in identifying and assessing business-purpose loan opportunities.
• Complete financial statement analysis, spreads, projections, personal cash flow analyses, and risk grade documentation.
• Demonstrate mentoring regarding loan structure, eligibility, credit issues, and underwriting to commercial banking staff.
• Assist in evaluating loan requests via initial underwriting and risk grade analysis for approval.
• Perform industry research and assessment as requested by the VP, Commercial Credit Officer.
• Monitor Special Asset credits and develop exit strategies and business plans with the Commercial Credit Officer.
• Develop networks for information exchange with other financial institutions to share best practices.
• Develop and refine underwriting tools for Commercial/Industrial, Commercial Real Estate, and other business loans.
• Ensure portfolio is documented correctly and compliant with NCUA regulations and Allegacy Lending policy.
• Complete required compliance training including BSA.
• Represent AFCU in communities and professional organizations to enhance AFCU’s image.
