Job summary

Allegacy Federal Credit Union in North Carolina seeks a role within its Commercial Lending team to counsel on cash flow, risk analysis, loan structure and referrals to the VP, Commercial Credit Officer.

You will support underwriting, financial statement analysis, and risk assessment across Commercial/Industrial and CRE loans, aiming to protect AFCU's portfolio and serve our members with sound credit decisions.

Responsibilities

• Support lending staff in identifying and assessing business-loan opportunities.
• Complete financial statement analysis, spreads, projections and cash flow analyses.
• Mentor on loan structure, eligibility, credit issues and underwriting.
• Assist in evaluating loan requests with initial underwriting and risk grades.
• Perform industry research and assessment for the VP, Commercial Credit Officer.
• Identify problem loans and route to the VP for resolution.
• Support in NCUA examinations and CUNA risk assessments.
• Monitor special asset credits and help develop exit strategies.
• Develop a network for information exchange with other financial institutions.
• Develop and refine underwriting tools for Commercial/Industrial and CRE loans.
• Ensure and manage loan documentation in line with NCUA rules and Allegacy policy.
• Complete required compliance training including BSA.
• Represent AFCU in communities through civic and professional engagement.
• Assume additional responsibilities as requested.
