Job summary

Piermont Bank is seeking a Portfolio Manager to monitor and assess credit risk within its commercial loan portfolio in New York. You will perform detailed financial statement analysis, industry assessment, collateral valuation, and cash flow analysis to support sound lending decisions.

The role emphasizes managing existing relationships, renewals, annual reviews, and preparing reports for credit supervision, risk committees, and the Board, with a focus on regulatory compliance and risk controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance and accounting required.
• Minimum of 4 years in underwriting or loan portfolio management.
• Credit training formal and/or on the job is required.
• Experience in commercial banking and commercial real estate is required.
• Strong understanding of credit risk and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Bank's loan portfolio for existing relationships and proactively oversee assets.
• Oversee loan renewals and line increases for existing relationships.
• Perform annual reviews of loan relationships.
• Prepare portfolio reports for credit supervision, risk committees and the Board.
• Assist in Credit Administration reports, annual independent loan audit, and regulatory examinations.
