Qualifications

• Law degree with high academic achievement in undergraduate and law school.
• License to practice law in appropriate jurisdictions.
• 5+ years of experience in a large complex organization or nationally recognized law firm preferred.
• Commercial/transactional experience required; healthcare law knowledge preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interface with personnel at many levels.
• Self-starter with urgency and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
• Develops business acumen to diagnose legal problems and offer solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive and pragmatic legal advice to contracting business clients across the enterprise.
• Draft and negotiate commercial contracts and terms with external parties.
• Manage high-volume workload and identify compliance risks.
• Collaborate with Litigation, Privacy, Regulatory Counsel, and Compliance teams.
• Advise division leaders on legal risks and strategic implications.
• Negotiate favorable terms with external parties and guide business decisions.
• Review external terms and manage contract revisions.
• Review marketing and PR communications for product information compliance.
• Support Litigation when engaged in disputes and provide subject-matter insights.
