Job summary

Rackspace Technology is seeking a senior commercial and transactional attorney to structure, negotiate, and close complex GPU/AI infrastructure agreements. This role acts as an embedded expert across Sales, Sourcing, Privacy, and Corporate Development, focusing on AI workloads and neocloud competition.

The role reports to the VP & Deputy General Counsel and partners with existing practice leads while developing playbooks and self-service tools for standard GPU/AI terms.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree from ABA-accredited law school and active U.S. bar in good standing.
• 8+ years of post-bar experience in commercial/transactional practice, with tech/cloud/data infrastructure transactions.
• Deep knowledge of commercial contracting for cloud and IaaS/SaaS transactions.
• Familiarity with U.S. export control regimes and data privacy considerations in AI workloads.

Responsibilities

• Serve as lead commercial counsel for Rackspace's GPU-as-a-service, bare-metal, and AI infrastructure offerings.
• Draft and negotiate master service agreements, order forms, and partner agreements with enterprise customers and strategic partners.
• Monitor and advise on export controls, data protection, and other AI-focused regulatory risks in collaboration with privacy and compliance teams.
• Support M&A and strategic partnerships with diligence, structuring, and integration activity.
