Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Commercial Contracts Manager in Cary, NC to provide world-class support from tendering through project completion. You will balance customer focus with risk management, support regional growth, and help raise risk awareness across the team and globally.

Key responsibilities include negotiating and approving NDAs, reviewing contracts for risk, guiding complex negotiations, ensuring compliance with internal processes, and collaborating with Legal.

Qualifications

• Degree with strong academic record; 5+ years of commercial or transactional contract negotiation experience
• Experience in Nam Region understanding contractual terms and conditions
• Fluency in English; French a plus
• Ability to draft and negotiate contracts and influence stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Provide negotiations preparation and support to Sales, Proposal, Project Managers and other regional functions
• Review, negotiate and approve NDAs to support proposals
• Analyze key issues, assess risk, and develop mitigation strategies in complex contracts
• Ensure compliance with internal workflows and approval processes
• Lead complex contract negotiations for disputes and change orders
• Support risk management processes with leadership
• Provide project summaries and advise teams on successful execution in high-risk deals
• Consult with Legal as needed for negotiations and dispute resolution
• Train Sales and Project teams in contracts management
• Travel estimated at 20%, some international travel
