Job summary

PowerSchool Group LLC in the United States seeks a Senior Contracts Analyst to support high-impact commercial relationships across the organization. You will review, draft, and negotiate numerous commercial agreements, ensuring alignment with business goals while mitigating risk.

You will partner with Legal, Sales, Procurement, and Compliance to manage contract lifecycles, address data privacy considerations, and help scale contracting processes in a fast-paced tech environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements in a law firm or in-house legal environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience handling MSAs, professional services, SaaS, SOWs, NDAs, and vendor agreements.
• Privacy certifications: CIPT, CIPP, CIPM, or AIGP.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to identify risks and propose practical solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; collaborate across functions.
• Attention to detail; manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience identifying basic privacy and information security issues in commercial agreements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for commercial legal requests, triaging priorities and escalating complex issues as needed
• Own the review, drafting, and negotiation of a high volume of commercial agreements, ensuring alignment with business goals while mitigating risk
• Review and edit sales and renewal quotes to ensure contractual and commercial consistency
• Partner cross-functionally with stakeholders in Sales, Procurement, Compliance, and Legal to resolve contractual and business issues efficiently
• Prepare clear, practical contractual responses to requests for proposals (RFPs) and requests for information (RFIs)
• Identify risks and recommend commercially practical solutions in collaboration with attorneys and senior team members
• Support contract lifecycle management processes, including maintaining templates, extracting key terms, and managing executed agreements within contract systems
• Contribute to improvements in contracting workflows, templates, and processes to increase efficiency and scalability
• Support privacy and regulatory compliance efforts by identifying and addressing data protection and information security considerations in agreements
• Take on additional responsibilities and projects that support the Legal team’s strategic objectives
