Job summary

The Commercial Construction Superintendent will oversee Nashville-area projects, supervising all field personnel to keep work on schedule and within budget while maintaining a safe site. This role requires coordinating with the Project Manager and subs, and reading building plans to guide crews on ground-up and TI scopes in commercial retail environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of on-site supervision in commercial construction.
• Ground-up commercial experience preferred for projects of $1–3 Million in size.
• Tenant Improvements and interiors experience required.
• College degree preferred but not required.
• Reliable transportation preferred (Truck provided if needed).

Responsibilities

• Direct workflow to align with project schedule and budget.
• Communicate project priorities to subcontractors.
• Identify and solve issues to maintain the project schedule.
• Ensure workmanship conforms to plans and specifications.
• Create and manage job schedules.
• Supervise final punch-out.
• Read and interpret building plans.
• Build positive relationships with customers, contractors, and suppliers.
• Promote and implement job site safety.
• Travel within region as needed.
• Project size varies from TI to ground-up.
• Project types include ground-up, TI, retail, medical-office, and restaurant.
