Job summary

Socket.dev seeks a Senior Commercial Construction Superintendent to lead field operations on commercial and government projects from our Leesburg, VA office. You will oversee subcontractors and crews, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and quality across ground-up builds and major renovations.

The role requires U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain a security clearance, 10–15 years of superintendent experience, and 7+ years in government contracting.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a security clearance.
• Associate degree in Construction Management, Building Construction, or related field.
• 10–15 years of Superintendent experience with a general contractor on commercial or institutional projects.
• 7+ years of government contracting experience.
• Experience managing ground-up commercial construction projects, not only renovations.
• Experience using spreadsheets, email, and construction industry software.
• Current OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, and CQC certification issued by USACE/NAVFAC.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift and handle 50 lbs.
• Physically able to walk active job sites and climb ladders and stairs to inspect work, direct subcontractors and field crews, and maintain safety and quality standards.

Job Type: Direct Hire
Starting Salary: $127,000/year — higher compensation available based on experience

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to lead field operations on commercial and government construction projects. This position oversees subcontractors and field crews while ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a security clearance
• Associate degree in Construction Management, Building Construction, or related field
• 10–15 years of Superintendent experience with a general contractor on commercial or institutional projects
• 7+ years of government contracting experience
• Proven experience managing ground-up commercial construction projects, not only renovations
