Job summary

Michael Page is partnering with a well-established Design-Build General Contractor in Ohio to recruit a Superintendent who will lead field operations, coordinate multiple teams, and drive projects to successful turnover.

You will mentor junior staff, manage schedules with the Project Manager, and ensure safety and quality across complex commercial construction sites in Ohio. This role emphasizes hands-on leadership and delivering landmark projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience leading field operations on ground-up commercial construction projects.
• Proven ability to mobilize sites from startup through turnover and occupancy.
• Strong scheduling, sequencing, and coordination across trades.
• Experience supervising large subcontractor crews with focus on quality, safety, and productivity.
• Ability to develop and maintain short-interval work plans and look-ahead schedules.
• Knowledge of CPM schedules and OSHA safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead all field operations to complete projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and field personnel across all phases.
• Develop and update project schedules with the Project Manager.
• Drive daily construction activities and monitor progress against milestones.
• Review drawings, specs, submittals, and RFIs for scope and quality.
• Lead weekly subcontractor meetings and daily coordination discussions.
• Coordinate inspections with authorities and ensure compliance.
• Maintain project documentation and daily reports for stakeholders.
• Mentor Assistant Superintendents and field staff; foster teamwork and accountability.
