Michael Page is recruiting a Building and Construction Superintendent for a growing commercial contractor in Philadelphia. You will oversee all on-site activities, develop schedules, coordinate multiple trades, and enforce safety standards to deliver projects on time and within budget.

The role requires 5+ years as a superintendent on commercial projects, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to read drawings and manage complex schedules.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects.
• Proven track record managing projects valued at $5M+.
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, sequencing, and best practices.
• Experience coordinating multiple trades and subcontractors.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Understanding of scheduling software and project management systems.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Responsabilités

• Oversee all on-site construction activities from project start through completion.
• Develop and maintain short-term and long-term construction schedules.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
• Conduct daily site inspections to ensure quality control and compliance.
• Enforce company safety standards and OSHA regulations.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to achieve project milestones and budget objectives.
• Lead subcontractor meetings and communicate project expectations.
• Identify and resolve field issues, conflicts, and unforeseen challenges.
• Monitor project progress and maintain accurate daily reports.
• Ensure successful project closeout, punch list completion, and turnover.
