Job summary

Engtal is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager to lead projects in Indianapolis from preconstruction through closeout. The role requires oversight of planning, budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and execution to deliver safe, on-time, and on-budget results.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background with a commercial general contractor, exceptional communication, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders while upholding quality and client

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience with a general contractor.
• Experience managing ground-up or large-scale renovations.
• Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specs, budgets, and schedules.
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors, suppliers, and client relationships.
• Experience with cost tracking, forecasting, change orders, procurement, and project documentation.
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, and Primavera P6.
• Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of commercial construction projects from planning through turnover.
• Develop and manage budgets, track costs, review invoices, and forecast finances.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating with trades to meet milestones.
• Solicit bids, negotiate scopes, and manage subcontractor agreements.
• Review drawings and specs to identify issues and support constructability reviews.
• Coordinate material procurement, orders, and long-lead items.
• Ensure safety, quality, and compliance with codes and contract requirements.
• Maintain project documentation and serve as primary client liaison.
