Job summary

Berglund Construction is seeking a Project Manager - Construction to lead commercial projects from pre-construction to closeout, partnering with clients to deliver safely, on schedule, and within budget. You will coordinate with leadership, assistants, superintendents, and field personnel across Berglund operations from our Westmont office.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in CM/engineering/architecture and at least five years’ experience managing commercial builds, with strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing commercial construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Proficiency in project management software: Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, etc.
• OSHA knowledge and commitment to job site safety.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of commercial construction projects from award through final completion.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost controls.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
• Review project plans, specifications, and contracts to ensure compliance.
• Conduct regular job site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety.
• Oversee project closeout, punch list completion, and warranty follow-up.
• Serve as primary point of contact and trusted advisor for commercial clients.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships through proactive communication and responsiveness.
