Job summary

Cleveland Construction in Mentor, OH is seeking a Commercial Project Manager to serve as the primary project planner for high profile commercial construction projects across the US. This role requires coordinating schedules, controlling costs, and ensuring on-time delivery with minimal travel to job sites.

You will read blueprints, manage bids, negotiate contracts, and ensure safety compliance while leading teams and communicating progress to clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience as GC Commercial Construction Project Manager.
• Degree in Construction Management, civil engineering, or related field preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience with project scheduling or CAD software; strong leadership, budget tracking, negotiation, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Create realistic project timelines, track milestones, and manage the critical path from pre-construction to closeout.
• Oversee project costs, manage subcontractor bids, process pay applications, and prevent budget overages.
• Negotiate and draft contracts with general contractors, architects, engineers, and suppliers.
• Secure necessary local building licenses and ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and building codes.
• Act as the primary contact for clients, reporting progress updates and resolving site issues immediately.
